I only made it up to the Mammoth area once this year. Mid-October. Fall is always exceptional up there. Me, Steve, Travis & Vegas all went.
We didn't unpack the entire back end of the truck the first night.....and had a bear break into it around midnight. The bear tore up just about everything. He ate and drank everything but the spicy brown mustard. At least he didn't relieve himself back there. I've got a clump of bear hair in the back end now. I kept it for posterior.....posterity.
No matter about the bear. We cleaned things up and went fishing.
