Pop passed away on Sept. 16. I wanted this to be a special trip, where I spent time alone and remembered him and how much he loved me and spending time together fishing.

There is nothing like the Eastern Sierra in late fall!  I left Tuesday, Oct. 26 about 5:30 am. On Monday, there was lots of snow.....up to 2 feet.  WOW!    The Mountain opens for skiing on Friday.

I love driving thru the desert at sun up, nothing much better to me. Watching the sun come up on the right while driving is very special.  Tuesday was a day spent by myself for reflection. I found out that my good friend Kevin was going up that week and staying at the Heidleberg Inn, June Lake.  We had to fish together. We spent Wednesday on June Lake (Tiger Chili for lunch, of course) and then Thursday shore fishing on Silver Lake. Couldn't have been too much better.

I think the cold and snow killed the fishing, but no matter. Hanging with a good friend and fishing is the best.  The fishing was OK, but the scenery and companionship was outstanding!

As you look at the pics, numbers 1-45 were taken on Tuesday; 46-64 were taken on Wednesday; and 65-91 were taken on Thursday.
Tuesday was the Upper Owens River (a favorite), Wednesday was June Lake and Thursday was Silver Lake.

Special thanks to Mike at Big Rock Marina.  He's a really good guy and always takes good care of us!

Thanks Kevin for a killer spaghetti dinner with the guys. If you've never eaten at Morrisons in Mammoth, you need to!
I can't leave out the Tiger Bar in June Lake.  WE ALWAYS GO HERE, AT LEAST ONCE.  The ticket there - a bowl of Tiger Chili and a Bloody Mary.
